On 29 May at 18:00 1:1 projects, at the opening of the exhibition Michelangelo Pistoletto Resonance # 3 & Giovanni Sollima, edited by Marcello Smarrelli, invites artists, critics and curators to give an desire: a proposal for a visionary but practical, utopian but realistic che potrebbe migliorare il sistema dell’arte contemporanea in Italia.
L’occasione nasce dalla presentazione a Roma del progetto Love Difference di Michelangelo Pistoletto,il cui simbolo è un tavolo specchiante. Il Mediterraneo è al centro dell’azione di Love Difference, un progetto che chiede all’arte e alla creatività di porsi come base di un armonico sviluppo con una valenza sociale e politica. Accanto al tavolo verrà presentato anche l’Armadio Mediterraneo, uno spazio fisico e simbolico in cui riporre documenti, realtà pratiche, prospettive, desideri e fantasie che verrà riempito di elementi different.

1:1 projects is an independent network for the production of contemporary art, which develops projects promoting participatory practices and interdisciplinary collaboration. Occupying a role halfway between cultural mediation and distribution, 1:1 projects develops and produces workshops, seminars, meetings and exhibitions in an attempt to build a research area that is capable of imagining new forms of dialogue, reception and dissemination of art and contemporary culture. 1:1 projects is a project that reflects on the artistic production as a distribution, and has built an archive of contemporary art portfolio that contains materials and audio and video of Italian and foreign artists. 1:1 projects is not a utopian platform, is not an emergency zone, or an interstitial space of action, but rather a place of material: a study of space, vision, hearing and discussion.
